Live (& Virtual) Tonight: AI Build Together

What could possibly go wrong?

Hey, NYC — Sherveen here!

We’re dark on The Feedback Loop tonight, but we’re on for something new:

🔴 I will be going live at 7pm ET for the first build session for CareerX — an AI-powered interview coaching platform — all livestreamed, start-to-finish, using AI code generation.

Why? Well, about a week ago, legendary video game developer Jonathan Blow challenged me to “vibe code something nontrivial that actually works” after I called him out for being intentionally ignorant and dismissive re: the power of AI today.

Look, I’m not a big believer in “vibe coding” — most people shouldn’t just spin up an alternative to Salesforce on ChatGPT and try to sell it tomorrow.

And there are a lot of AI grifters trying to oversell on what’s doable with Lovable/Bolt or pretending you can build an “agent” on n8n. It’s all much harder than that.

But there are way too many people who are either behind or even resistant to AI. If I can show even just a small group of people that it’s time to lean in, I’m in.

So, here’s what you’ll see:

  • We’ll be building CareerX — the AI coach that turns interviews into offers. It’ll be a real product, not a tutorial toy, built with the context of a decade+ in job search & recruiting products. And it’ll be 10x better than the GPT-wrapper slop that existing AI interview prep platforms offer.

  • AI will do the heavy lifting: reminder, I’m a founder/investor and a semi-technical product person, so you’ll see AI code generation do most of the work. See how platforms like Amp Code, Claude Code, and Codex can and should be used — even your AI-enabled CTO isn’t using these tools well.

  • As we go, I’ll be using AI not just for code gen, but ideation, product specification, market research, data entry — for everything from the agentic core of the product to the fine-tuning of an LLM on our proprietary data.

  • Running commentary and Q&A: ask anything about startups, venture, careers, and I’ll narrate AI trade-offs we make along the way, incl. best practices and tips for non-code use cases, too.

Who should pull up a chair?

  • Founders and indie hackers looking for a blueprint to doing real, production-ready AI work

  • Early-career devs or later-stage engineers who feel like they still haven’t seen the height of AI-assisted work

  • Hobbyists, investors, professionals who want to 10x their AI fluency, code or no code

Tune in and join me in the chat! How? Sign up here and you’ll get an email when I go live today at 7pm ET, plus schedules for upcoming streams — I’ll be going live 3 to 5 times a week!

At the end, we’ll have launched a startup-within-a-startup — live, on camera, production-worthy.

See you there —
